Sparklejets will be playing in Costa Mesa (which is in Orange County) at
Din's Din's on May 31st. Don't know who else is on the bill but I will
working the door. I'll post with more info closer to the date
Hope to see some you out town popsters :-)
Also on May 9 at the Derby, Le Sans Culottees and Rene Risque are on the
bill. Le Sans Culottees is a faux French band. Their songs are 60's pop
all sung in French with bad accents. It's fun. Rene Risque is 70's style
lounge act with the most of the songs being about sex and drugs. They put
on a fun act using audience plants etc. I was highly entertained the last
time I saw them but they are definitely not for the faint of heart.
On Saturday May 10 the Rembrandts and the Records are doing a show at the
Glass House in Pomona
Oh yes I did manage to catch Of Montreal recently. Reminded of the
Sugarplastic only quirkier.
