if you dig the lanois vibe.... check out the new Joe Mannix cd, "White Flag",
on my label... produced by Lanois veterans Glenn Marshall (ex-engineer)
and Dave Rave (one of the Lanois house guitarists during his Hamilton days).
recorded in an old church virtually untouched except for re-wiring by
Bob Lanois
(Dan's brother)... open concept, candles burning, stained glass
windows... the whole
trip....
backed by veteran Hamilton roots players (guys in their 50s who've
played up and
down the Ontario backwoods)... this is a great vibe lp in the
ballpark of the Dylan/Lanois
collaborations (but mellower).... Phil Ochs & PF Sloan with The Band....
