John Cale RULES!  I can't think of anyone I have listened to that has 
inspired me more over the last few years.  So great to see him mentioned here.

"Paris 1919" is a fabulous record.  You saved the best for last.  Anybody on 
the board who might be dubious about his melodic merits because of his 
Velvet-y past will be totally disarmed by this record.  I echo Judith's post. 
 Check the man out, for gosh sakes.

I may have forgotten to mention that I think John Cale kicks ass.
