I'm not bitching about the sound quality itself. Except for the occasional
glitch, it sounds great to my poor ears. I'm just saying that I don't like
the mix. I just like a more natural stereo mix. I just think the mix was
gimmicky. We're not talking something real high tech to do that?

All the songs are similar in that they describe snippets of life. "Good
Morning", while musically being upbeat, has some pretty depressing lyrics. On
the other hand, "She's Leaving Home", while being more subdued muscially, is
for me more upbeat, although I doubt it was meant that way. A daughter
finally getting out her parents house and ready to party! So the music
balances the lyrics, somewhat for me.

Btw, "She's Leaving Home" I read, was meant to be the last song on side 1,
sort of a coda to that side, the way that "A Day in the Life" is a coda song
for the whole album.

"Within You Without You" not only doesn't fit in musically, it doesn't fit in
lyrically, because it's poetic and doesn't real paint a specific scene. The
other problematic song for me is "With a Little Help from my Friends". I
don't understand why they let Ringo sing this, and why they had to put it
right up front as the 2nd song! Yuck.
