I'm interested in sampling/drum looping software and have no clue where to
begin to look. I'm a complete novice when it comes to using anything but old
Casio keyboards with built in drum beats.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Ease of use, low cost and
something that won't eat a computer (I want to be able to do this outside of
a studio) are preferred attributes.

Off list replies are welcome.

Thanks,
Matt
