skeedaddled over to Dewey Beach yesterday afternoon for the Saturday night
line up Pop Fest line up...
NICE set up with bands playing on either end of the outside deck making for
continuous live music - as one band finished up the next one was ready to
go.. great sets from The Suggestions, Cliff Hillis & 2/3 of the Forward
Thinkers, Pilot Radio, Stephen Reso, IKE, The Crayons & Cordalene..
2 more stages were set up at opposite ends of the large inside room.. so
while I was inside waiting for the 11pm Rosenbergs set & chatting away,
unbeknownst to me there had been a cancellation & the Rosenbergs were moved
outside so when it dawned on me something was up & I wandered back outside,
I heard the last song & then "let's hear it for the Rosenbergs" and they
were done .. the moral to that story is less beer = more music
thanks to Lauree & Janice for letting me sleep over in their room --- how
fantastic to get to wake up on a perfectly sunny Sunday morning & just sit
in a chair outside and watch the waves crashing in on the beach for a few
hours before driving home.
I'll give a big thumbs up to the organizers of this event & will be back
next year for darn sure. Although if they could just assign someone to
personally watch over me and let me know about any stage changes I'd really
appreciate it.
