I picked up a copy of a CD by Gerry Goffin at my local thrift store (50
cents). It is titled Death to the Printed Word. Some of the songs were
written with Bob Dylan. The entire disk sound like someone doing their
best Bob Dylan impersonation. Most of the lyrics are "talked sang". Some
times it was close to pathetic. This disc was from 1996. The production
was first rate, the arrangements were tight and his delivery ruined the
entire thing for me. Was this the only solo thing that he has done?
