It doesn't pay to miss posts for a couple of days - I just read Gary's post,
and indeed, The Connels were the headliner that night - not Scruffy (I was
drinking - Gary wasn't). I had gotten my tickets to the show (free) two
days earlier seeing Scruffy at the same venue.

Positively scary - I saw a triple bill with these bands in Philly in the
mid-eighties. I went for Scruffy, and left with Three Colors' merch (I can
remember how many LP/EPs). A fourth band also played - "Ricky and the
Rockets" - AKA Supertramp, who went on last after finishing their US tour in
town that evening. They played a blues set that ended with members of all
four bands on stage.
