Hey, I enjoyed your ISB review and it made me laugh. They are indeed an
aquired taste but if you like them -as I do - they were just remarkable. I
was always able to look/hear beyond the mystical, magical, hippy, dippy
lyrics and the bleating vocals.
"Hangman's Daughter" seems to be their most popular title but I always
prefered their
first one "5,ooo Layers Of The Onion" or "Wee Tam".
Yes they were twee with a CAPITAL T but they also had loads of lovely
melodies and some pretty cool poetry/lyrics too.
I don't think think there is much middle ground with ISB. Either you like
them or you don't.
