I'd like to add my two cents about IKE's debut cd.
Last night I brought "Parallel Universe" to the paint-your-own-pottery
studio where I work a weekly shift and regularly subject unsuspecting
customers to my power pop collection. When IKE was in the player, I saw
heads bouncing and feet tapping in unison, and one small child who could
not possibly have known the words was attempting to sing along. (It wasn't
until the song about "the bitch who pays you back" came on that I realized
I'd have to skip a few tracks while there were still kids in the shop!)
In a better world, "Deathbed" would be a huge radio hit. It SHOULD be a
huge radio hit.
It's a terrific cd. If you haven't bought it, you should.
