Hey Jeff,
Cool out, you sent a message to me off list, that was totally above board
and I've removed you from my mailing list. No need to try and publicly
scold me. As for the note going to everyone individually on Audities,
that's totally untrue and ridiculous. I have no access to the Audities
address list, no one does except Michael I assume. Your name is on my list
because of some correspondence we've probably had in the past which led me
to believe you wanted updates.
I post gigs to the list and attempt (though sometimes fail) to do it in a
non-boring / entertaining manner because I believe there are some folks on
the list who are genuinely interested in what some of us musicians are doing
live and there are some folks out there who like to come out and support the
cause when they know we're doing something. I see most of the folks on the
list as true supporters of the music. I resent people who try and take away
anyones honest opportunity to spread the word and get some support for the
music we discuss on this list. No support, no music, nothing to discuss, no
Audities.
Maybe I could simplify the messages down to "just the facts" but most likely
they'd just be glanced over and missed. Also, honestly if I post once a
month to Audities about a gig that's a lot. Sorry your pissed.
