Nice, Sam.

When I saw TSooL the other night in San Francisco, I was blown away by how much
the band was able to connect the music to the audience. More, how the band made
the music mean more by its performance context. I came to the show only having
seen TSool on Letterman. That performance---and all the previous buzz I read
here about them, finally convinced me to buy the CD.

I remember seeing a relatively early U2 show at the small-ish San Francisco
Civic Auditorium (before it was named for Bill Graham). The way TSooL wrapped
the crowd into their music/performance kinda reminded me of those days.

But I also recognize that there are different tastes for everyone, even here on
the pop range. I've tried that TSAR CD a dozen times or so and the only song
that stuck with me was "Calling All Destroyers." I also remember not liking
much of Jason Falkner's "Can You Still Feel" the first dozen times I listened to
it, but that ranks now as one of my very favorite CDs, with one of my all-time
favorite songs in "Revelation."

Music just works on each listener in varied ways...and that's a good thing, as
far as I'm concerned.
