I answered my own question and identified the song fragment from
yesterday, because I accidentally chose the correct cd during my commute
this morning and was delighted when that song came on.
The song that beings "She's on the plane to San Diego" is "Are You Talking
to Me," by Lazlo Bane, from last years' debut album "All the Time in the
World."
I haven't seen a lot of (or any?) Lazlo love on this list, but for my
money that's a terrific pop album. Anyone else heard it?
