Chris is supposedly working on a solo record called "Tales From the South,"
for Yep Roc. It was supposed to have been released last month, but I think
it's now scheduled for release later this year.

As far as "Mavericks," goes, it's one of my favorite pop records of all
time, and definitely an underappreciated gem.
And ditto for "It's Alright," which has "When We're Alone," in my opinion,
one of the more perfect pop songs ever written.

Any opinions out there on Holsapple's "Out of My Way," from 1997. "Pretty
Damned Smart," is a great tune off that record.

John.

likeable than THE SOUND OF MUSIC and especially the dismal PARIS AVENUE. As
for IT'S ALRIGHT, I think it's Stamey's best. Other than production for
Mayflies and a few others, anyone heard anything from Stamey lately???
