Buzz is building about this band and I'd like to report that the
Effection will play a gig at Larry Blake's in Berkeley on May 7.
(I don't have the date in front of me, but the Effection will also open
for the Dance Hall Crashers at Slim's---I believe it's in late May/early
June.)
Also on the bill is a new band called My Fellow Astronauts which
features a couple of members of Dance Hall Crashers (the Hammon
brothers, I believe). MFA also leans more toward the power pop side of
stuff, with some alt.country in there, too, If I'm not mistaken. I have
yet to hear the band, but I hear reports about them from Gavin.
Must get demo CD...
