I completely agree, Francesc. Paul has a very unfortunate tendency to tour
behind his new album, then, when the next album comes out, it's like the
last album never existed. But he'll gladly break out the greatest hits from
his earlier years. It was a real pleasure to hear "Here Today" on this
tour, I must admit, but, man, I just think it'd be nice to have Paul come
out there with an acoustic guitar and do something really unexpected...like,
say, "Only Love Remains," from "Press To Play," or maybe "Sweetest Little
Show," from "Pipes of Peace." Even "Distractions," from "Flowers In The
Dirt." I loved every minute of the show when I saw him last year, but the
set list definitely plays to the casual fan...

Hi Joe,

yes, I get your point, but he has been playing this song in each and every
world tour he makes. He obviously likes it, no wonder! But I find it way
overused. It's not that he hasn't got a catalogue to choose from. :-)
Most of the people attending his shows have known him for a long time, so he
should dig deeper in their catalogue. It's nice to hear Band On The Run for
the zillionth time, but I'd love to see more obscure stuff being played.
I don't want to compare, but I cannot help thinking about the thrill before
going to a Bruce Springsteen concert... what will he do tonight? Sure, Born
To Run, Thunder Road, etc... but he will also play obscure stuff, and that
is a way to thank long time fans too.

best!
Francesc
