It's nice to see an e-mail about DG that's not just a pot shot. Maybe we
could set up a separate e-mail list to talk about David Graham -- reading
about his character or lack thereof is getting kind of old.

In the meantime, I'm listening to some new releases that I hope to review
for the May Fufkin.com (the April page should be up pretty soon).

Right now I'm listening to Vic Conrad and the First Third -- oddball stuff
from Down Under -- sometimes has a Robyn Hitchcock/Syd Barrett vibe.

The new Sukilove continues the summery goodness of their EP.

Andrew -- never heard any of Mr. Sandoval's music until now. Light '60s
pop. Not bad, but didn't make me jump up and down. Ric Menck and Joe Nolte
are the rhythm section, which ain't too shabby.

The Millions -- This band features Johnny Million, formerly of Big Hello,
Dan Edwards, formerly of the Krinkles, Chris Grey, an Audities listmember
and frontman of the Swizzlesticks, and Larry Brown, whose played with tons
of folks in Chicago. The first six songs are super strong -- this is Redd
Kross/Cheap Trick territory, with the sixth song, "Million Dollar Rock",
sounding like the best homage to Kiss I've ever heard. The rest is fine,
but the first six songs could just play in a loop.

Yesterday I picked up a Pop Will Eat Itself CD on Castle that compiles all
of their early stuff, before they went a major label and turned into the
British Beastie Boys. Some fun wobbly Buzzcocks/Husker Du stuff with lots
of other silliness.

That's all for now --

Mike Bennett
