Hey,

Beatles Anthology -- it's a beautiful thing. For those of you with a
DTS or Dolby 5.1 surround sound system, it's quite an amazing
experience. To hear even the earliest recordings recreated in a
multichannel mix makes you wonder about the early catalog that was
reissued in mono only on CD. It's absolutely breathtaking.

The surround mixes of the recent Miramax re-release of the "A Hard Day's
Night" movie on DVD are hugely dissapointing by comparison. By the way,
according to the credits, the anthology was remixed for 5.1 at Abbey
Road Studios...to my ears they took great care, and did a bang-up job.

A compelling argument for EMI to consider DVD-Audio reissues of the
entire Beatles catalog.

A compelling argument for die-hard Beatles fans who have not already
done so, to consider investing in a new home theatre system.

Yeah, yeah, yeah!

Marty
