I don't think Darline Love was ever officially a member of the Crystals, 
could be wrong though.

Spector used her because he was in a cover battle for "He's a Rebel" and 
needed to get the 45 out fast. The Crystals were on the road touring and 
Spector didn't want the trouble of flying the girls to LA. So he used 
Darline (and her group The Blossoms) for those singles. Which pissed off 
the group, they had to go buy the 45 so they could learn the song. Also 
Spector never sent them much money, most of the cash the group made was on 
the road.
