look no further, you auditeers.
or, rather, lookie here: DGdisagreeables@aol.com
with just such an addy may you reach the artiste
hissownself, who will be only too delighted to offer
you not only the snap-crackle-poppin' fresh back
catalog (I believe that's everything that he released
minus last year's limited release "Emitt Road?" I
might be wrong about that - in any event, not only
that...) BUT the altogether NEW release, "DT and the
Disagreeables (13 songs unearthed for your listening
pleasure.)" As was previously teased, this one kicks
off with a faithful and sweet rendition of the
Lennon/McCartney (or is it McCartney/Lennon?) classic
"Hello Goodbye" and spirals off into fractal bits of
jolly pop goodness thereafter - listening to any
microscopic subsection proves to be just as beautiful
as the cd as a whole, and, for those already in the
know, I think this one rivals if not surpasses my very
favorite, "Beatle School Graduate," from the
psychedelic march of "I Am God" to the bouncy, XTC-ish
"Good Luck" to the skiffle lovin "We Will Ride."
SO. The new one'll be $20 direct from DG (or is it
DT?) himself, and the old one's'll be $18, subject to
change based on availability, imminent wars, demand
vs. time available for creation of these homemade
delights, other artistic pursuits, and the always
possible possibility that DG/DT will pull up tent
stakes and take this revival meeting someplace
altogether, leaving we faithful wailing and gnashing
our teeth, leaderless on the fairgrounds.
By which godawful mixed metaphor I mean to say: don't
delay; write today!
hey, that's pretty pithy. Perhaps I should run for
president.
this public service announcement brought to you by
your synchophantastic pal, (who is not herself)
