I think one of the greatest thrills as a kid (and fondest memories
musically) was going to my local 5/10 or even mall record shop and checking
out 45s rack where the Cashbox and Billboard charts were posted too. I also
used to remember listening to Casey Kasem every week and writing down the
singles in a notebook as he counted them down from 40 to 1.
Todays younger people will never know the thrill of the 45...yet I think
record companies can easily bring back singles as CDs for a buck a pop and
make a mint.
