Two new releases, acutally. One will be the Thorns cd. Here's some info
that I cut from the MS list:

here's the song listing: I think it comes out in June.

1. Runaway Feeling
2. I Can't Remember
3. Blue (Jayhawks cover)
4. Think It Over
5. Thorns
6. No Blue Sky
7. Now I Know
8. Dragonfly
9. Long Sweet Summer Nights
10. I Told You
11. Such A Shame
12. I Set The World On Fire
13. Among The Living

They all sing on all songs, but one voice usually takes the center on each
song.

There's a report on an industry party they played at in LA Thursday here:

http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/newsPage.cgi?news04161m01

The Japanese cd is:

The exclusive Japanese record is done. It's called Kimi ga suki * Raifu - it
has 13 songs on it and probably won't be out til early next year in Japan,
on Avex (big Japanese label). He has the rights for a release to the rest of
the world after one year. It was recorded at home with Matthew Sweet
mainstays
Ric Menck, Greg Leisz, and guitar God, Richard Lloyd, as the only guest
musicians. Yoshitomo Nara, a famous Japanese artist Matthew met while in
Japan
last summer, is doing the cover.

Also:

You can check the track listing here and you will be able to pre-order also

http://www.hmv.co.jp/Product/Detail.asp?LANG=ja&sku=276803
(click the "English" button for English)

The page said this CD is Six-month Japan precedence sale. And a special
booklet
with his message for the first press and CD-extra!! Soooo excitng!!(^v^)

All above info courtesy of members on the MS mailing list.

I pre-ordered it through Amazon Japan (hopefully). I found that HMV was
harder to deal with. The site has an english translation (sort of), but the
customer service people were great in helping me out. I send a note as soon
as the cd arrives.

Mike
