Vol. 4 is the Joe Jackson we all know and love...I guess it's natural to
compare it to Costello's When I Was Cruel, but I'd wager most will find this
to be a more consistent and enjoyable listen. Quite a few of these tunes
will remind you of the early albums, e.g. "Awkward Age." This shows that Joe
*can* write catchy pop songs again, but I hope this isn't just a one-off.
The guy should recognize his strengths by now. The bonus live stuff is a
total hoot, with an enthusiastic audience.
