Hey all, I just have to come out of lurk-land and tell you that if you like
'60's-era Bee Gees, the Cyrkle, the Hollies, etc. etc., you *must* pick up
the new Andrew album "Happy To Be Here" on Bus Stop. I just got it, and it's
just full of amazing melodies and some really tastefully rendered string
arrangements. Also, he even managed to get Tom Dawes of the Cyrkle out of
retirement to add some instrumental and background vocal magic to the song
"He Can Fly"! Excellent stuff.
Also, Andrew has a 5-song EP of "outtakes" called "Happily Ever After" (not
on Bus Stop, interestingly, but on Vibrophonic, with the coolest artwork I've
seen in ages) that are anything but outtakes... it's a great EP on its own.
Do yourselves a favor... buy 'em both ASAP... you will not be sorry!!
Mark
