I'm a huge fan of the original Fairport Convention records and to this day
Sandy Denny remains my all-time fave female vocalist. A cool record to dig
up by them is Heyday which is a collection of their BBC performances
including a sublime version of Leonard Cohen's Suzanne. Their version of
Emmit Rhodes/Merry-Go-Round's Time Will Show The Wiser from their first lp
is very good including some blazing Richard Thompson guitar work, but I
still prefer the original by a long shot.
