The March 2003 Fufkin.com page is up. This month we have the following
record reviews:

Mike Bennett presents full length reviews of The Go-Betweens, Ted
Leo/Pharmacists, Bettie Serveert, Nada Surf and The Waking Hours. Mike also
has capsule reviews of The Sun, Jon Langford and his Sadies, Buzzcocks,
Colossal, My Dad Is Dead, King Radio, Zwan and Damone.

Gary Glauber reviews Leisure McCorkle, Gigolo Aunts, Richard X. Heyman, The
Dent, Feel and The Blakes.

Rick Bilious reviews Sugarcult, The Waking Hours and Yellow Second.

Robert Pally interviews Joe Jackson, who has reunited with his original band
and is releasing a new album with them and touring on it.

Kurt Hernon gets e-mails. Here he answers one, and in his best John (a/k/a
Joseph) Merrick, he declares, “I am not a music critic!”.

We are still working on our redesign, and will roll it out when it is fully
ready. Kurt Sampsel again provides a taste of what’s to come in the Fufkin
Recommended section. This time Kurt takes us down Haight and Ashbury to
give some tips on classic ‘60s San Francisco records.

While folks are trying to pick the new American Idol (having chosen Chris
Judd as the winner of I Slept With A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here), Michael
Lynch has a much more pertinent test for everyone – ‘Are You a Guitarist?’

Eric Sorenson isn’t just a jangler – he’s a boomer (as in baby boomer).
Eric has some more music tips for you.

February was a tough month. Gary Pig Gold eulogizes Bee Gee Maurice Gibb.
Mike Bennett takes a look at the nightclub tragedies in Chicago and Rhode
Island. John Borack pays tribute to the late Rick McBrien of the Cleveland,
Ohio band Paranoid Lovesick. And David Fufkin’s Whatever column looks at
life and death from a very personal experience he recently had.

We hope you all come and visit us, and please continue to stay tuned for the
upcoming redesign, which will make future visits even more informative and
rewarding.
