LOL the record was in really bad shape with about a 1000 clicks and pops so 
I don't think it mattered much. It stuck out so much I thought "why not try 
fixing it" and it worked . It would have been impossible doing that quick 
one second edit on analog tape!

I just went crazy trying to clean up a horrible sounding 1966 A&M 45 by the 
Grads (the early Sandpipers) that was posted on Spectopop last week that 
sounded like someone used a knitting needle to play first minute of the 
record - pure fuzz. I did a massive amount of multi-band noise processing 
and EQ to get it sounding decent. As long as it pleases my ears that all 
that matters to me.
