Ah this one hurts; I heard the news just as I was leaving for work this morning. Hank Ballard is one of the all time greats. I have a bunch of his 45s on King and about seven of his King LPs when they were reissued on CD (wish I has some original vinyl). The one with like 28 cuts of the best of the Midniters is just unbelievable. Everyone once in a while in the early 90's he would be interviewed on the old Hound show on WFMU and the man just sounded like a good guy with real perspective, besides all his talent. I know what I am listening to when I get home tonight.

For those of you that don't know Hank (or worse think that the Twist is what he sounded like), go find some old 50's R&B - its good for the soul.

Bill
