Nay, not pseudonyms. These two lucky "Apple Scruffs" were pulled off the
sidewalk outside of Abbey Road Studios after it was decided that a couple of
female voices would be a nice addition to the recording. They were duly
ushered in (assuming that they must have sang before being allowed in),
shown their part, recorded, and ushered back out. Ah, the Lewisohn book is
a wonderous thing (even if it does have a few errors).
