If I hadn't read this on a Tenacious D website recently, I wouldn't have
believed it:

Jack and Kyle recently recorded a song with the rock group Styx for their
new album "Cyclorama". The name of the song is "Kiss Your Ass Good-bye" and
the album is scheduled to be released on February 18th, 2003. There are also
some pics of Jack and Kyle in the recording studio on the Official Styx Web
Site. Here is an excerpt from one of Tommy Shaw's recent notes on the Styx
Web Site:
"Yesterday (31st Dec) at the Styx studio Jack and Kyle, also known as
Tenacious D added their voices to 'Kiss Your Ass Good-bye.' The out-takes
from that session were so good they could be a separate CD by themselves.
Kyle and Jack reminded Styx how much fun can be had making music. He says
that the guys have such immense talent that they not only sing and play
brilliantly, but they take it the extra mile and are so funny it makes my
sides hurt just thinking about it. Our sincere thanks to Tenacious D."
