Nah, Vanessa Carlton's doing those two.
I want to claim my place on the leading edge of John Mayer-hating, having been repulsed by him from first exposure -- live, no preconceptions, without having heard a note by him before. That very evening I proclaimed him to be the evil spawn of Matthews and Taylor, so it was only appropriate that he should immediately proceed Satan... er, Taylor, last night.
Actually, the same night I saw and heard Mayer for the first time, Erykah Badu surprised me by turning in a *spectacular* set when I was expecting very little. It's a shame she ingested whatever she did before taking the Grammy stage last night.
And "Centerfold" is a damn fine song.
later,
Miles
