I have to say, even I got a little teary-eyed when Barry's voice kept
catching, and he said, "Well, this is even harder than we thought it was
going to be...and it's getting harder all the time." But asking Maurice's
son to come on stage to take the award, that was a wonderful moment.

I swear to you, when the song came to a conclusion, I felt like I had
witnessed one of the greatest moments in the history of
the Grammys. It was just a total guitar attack, and the lighting added a
great deal to the feel of the performance. I have unabashedly referred to
the peformance as, to edit it slightly, the f***ing sh*t.

Yes, but, to be a complete pig for a moment, what a delightfully short skirt
Faith Hill was wearing. And was it me, or did Sheryl Crow's make-up make
her look like she was trying for a look somewhere between J.Lo and Mariah
Carey...?

My favorite line of the evening was when Robin Williams won his Best Comedy
Album Grammy, held it to his ear, and said, "If you listen closely, you can
hear careers ending!"
