1. The highlight for me might have been the Target ad where the music track
was "Rattle My Bones" by The Suburbs.

2. N'Sync -- y'know, the two lead vocals (one by Timberlake the other by
one of the other guys) weren't that bad, but geez, their harmonies made them
sound more Boyz2Accountants than Boyz2Men. Ick. Still, the presentation
was quite moving. Barry and Robin seem so genuine.

3. I liked the "London Calling". Of all the vocalists, Bruce sounded the
least fitting -- he seems like he's pushing his voice way too much.

4. Faith Hill and Norah Jones parallel Goofus and Gallant, if you get my
drift.

5. John Mayer? This guy couldn't win a coffee house songwriting contest.
He made bland seem exciting. Melody? Hook? Good Lyrics? No, no, no.

6. I've grudgingly come to like No Doubt -- it's kind of like when my Mom
bought a West Highland Terrier -- my Dad was against it, but the dog was so
damned cute, he eventually came around to liking it.
