My first full-time job and my first paycheck. I bought a Pioneer receiver,
Pioneer turntable and Genesis V-6 speakers -- and a Pentax ME Super 35mm
camera. My dad hated all of it, but I credit those purchases with launching
my career as a hack PR functionary. The 35mm made me a one-person press
office. The stereo provided the sanity.
