Hey all you Audities-land technical audiophiles,
I've finally decided to bite and bullet and buy (configure) a new PC. My old PC, a 4 1/2 yr old Compaq had a great feature - something that they called Compaq Creativity Center (or something like that), which was basically some front inputs for stereo and video. I have easily hooked up a received
and turntable to record vinyl, and my camcorder to record video.
So - the question that I have is this ... what is the best way to configure the new PC? I'd like to get advice to those who listen to a lot of music on theirs, and who make vinyl-to-hard drive transfers. Any advice is appreciated - I haven't even figured out what my budget is, but I'd like to
spend less than $2K on the whole setup (and I don't need a monitor or printer).
Reply off-list if you wish to michael.cornely@sap.com
Thanks!
Mike
