----didn't you know that Hispanics are the largest minority now and getting bigger? Interesting that you noticed that, David. My brother Xavier and I are Mexican. I am the only one in my family that was born in the US. Anyway, for years we have been the only hispanics in the crowd. The Ramones shows were the only times that we would see our compadres.
Anyway, I was at the Division of Laura Lee show back in December and we counted 13 hispanics in the front row with us. It was really cool, actually.
At The Strokes, I saw a caravan of young hispanic guys and gals linked together making their way through the crowd to the front row.
My brother commented that something had to change. We noticed in our surroundings that most hispanics were into Hip Hop, Rap, and Freestyle.
I don't know how the Status Quo became so popular with the latino folks, but hey that's great!
