First, thanks to everyone who offered to make a copy of the 4-track
bonus CD from the Go-Betweens "Bright Yellow, Bright Orange" CD.
To summarize: parasol.com had listed on their web site until yesterday
morning that they were selling the Go-Betweens "Bright Yellow, Bright
Orange" with a limited bonus CD containing four tracks from the "Friends
of Rachel Worth" and "Bright Yellow, Bright Orange" sessions. Although I
ordered the CD from them last Wednesday (technically last Tuesday
evening, but their web site screwed up and bounced my order), I received
the single disc version. In their defense, parasol.com has offered to
refund my money, including postage. However, that wasn't the point. In
assuming I was getting the version w/ the bonus disc, I was prevented
from purchasing it elsewhere (e.g., as of Tuesday evening hmv.com were
still offering the limited edition CD).
All is not lost, however. In my search to obtain the limited edition
release, I discovered a number of things. The four bonus tracks are; (1)
Woman Across the Way, (2) Locust Girls, (3) Instant Replay and (4) Girl
Lying on a Beach. Tracks (1) and (2) were released on the "Going Blind"
single (which I already have). Tracks (3) and (4) are on the "Caroline
and I" single (which I'll have to find). The Japanese release of the CD
also has tracks (3) and (4) [although hmv.com informed me that there are
3 bonus tracks on Japanese release].
