Mayer was born in '77, so he's had more than enough time to do the deed, as
it were.  Put out his debut album in '99, played SXSW, signed to Aware, and
the rest is history.

Maybe I'm just a better whistler, because I find his stuff catchy and
memorable...played into oblivion, sure, but still catchy and memorable...

In all seriousness, I find it really amazing how many people have such
violently negative opinions on certain artists, and not just John Mayer.  I
can't be bothered to muster legitimate hatred for ANY artist, even the ones
I'm not really a fan of...
