I like the thread that attempts to discern whether Audities gets its zietgeist from the musicians or from the fans (maybe I'm reading too much into that thread...).
One of the things that makes Audities fun for me as "just a fan," (42, married 16 years, two kids, three dogs, two cats but only one house...), is when the industry types give their take on things or talk about projects they were involved with.
But what I really look forward to are the fans, whether they are musicians or not, who hear something they love and just HAVE to tell someone, even people they don't know. In that way, Audities is my radio station, since radio is dead where I live.
I once tried to review CDs for an online magazine. I kept up with it for about a year, then quit because I didn't want listening to music to be a job. For the same reason, I don't think I could ever be in band. I know how hard bands work and for me, music is an escape.
