My name's John Micek, and I live in Harrisburg, Pa., where I front a
"pop"
band called Milkshake Jones
by night I contribute to music
magazines such as The Big Takeover, Pop Culture Press and (until
recently) PopMatters.com.>>>>
Is it just me, or are most of the audities subscribers either working
musicians, otherwise in the music biz (critics, record label folks, etc.),
or (like myself) would-be musicians who have played at some point and/or do
it as a hobby but now playing music takes a back seat to the day
job/family/etc. ? I would be curious to see the percentage of audities
subscribers who are in the music biz full or part time vs. those who are
purely fans and not in the biz. Just curious. I guess sometimes I feel
like a disproportionate percentage of our audities membership are those who
play the music or promote it in some shape or fashion.
oh, by the way, welcome, John.
