I agree, I will end it. Eb has mades this about Eb. But others too
have persisted with continuing this giberish. So what to do?

Here's what I decided:

1 - Moderate Eb's posts. This means I will have to approve or reject
each of his posts to Audities depending on appropiateness. Pain
in the rear, but I would have gladly done this in other situations
if this capability was available previously. This way he can remain
a subscriber but I can sleep easier.

For example, just so you all don't think I've been completely
asleep over the past year (though guilty more than once), John
Borack's Audities-list vilification of Jeff Foskett over a matter
between he & Foskett was embarrassingly inappropiate. I'm ashamed
I said nothing, and still am (which is why I mention it now), and
would be cause for list moderation.

2 - Anyone else consistantly violating the Audities rules of conduct
    can expect the same result.

In case you need a refresher on posting guidelines, read the
    Audities INFO file @ http://www.well.com/~reissue/audities_info.txt

3 - Put out a request for volunteers to act as moderators. I really
want to get out of this business. I would like to see 4-6 people
willing to act as list moderators. I forsee the moderators providing
future list direction, along with handling moderation duties.
The list server, along with filters created by the list admin (me),
handle the technical stuff so moderation, subscription requests and
the like are handled simply by replying to a request. I hope with
4-6 moderators, requests won't be stalled long, someone will be
around to respond. What is required:

    * A level head and a clear understanding on what constitutes
appropiate vs. inappropiate list behavior. Fair, consistant
      action (unlike me!). Clueful.
    * Willing to check mail regularly, several times a day if possible.
Communicate with other moderators when you will be away.
    * Approve new subscriber requests (popmail.com subscribe requests
automatically rejected ;>), subscription changes and moderate
      new & restricted subscribers.
    * Answer Audities-List questions from subscribers.
    * Review current list guidelines and update or rewrite the entire
      document from scratch.
    * Provide direction to help make this list better - it desparately
needs it! Really the most important item.
    * A year or more as an Audities subscriber preferred. Pay: $0.00,
but I will be forever grateful, as will your fellow list members.

If interested, send mail to <audities@audities.net> or my personal
address <michael@audities.net>. Be careful not to reply to the list.
