Whilst holed up in the Homewood Suites just outta
Baltimore this weekend, I read in either the
Baltimore or Washington newspaper how artists
who no longer have a place on radio for their new
songs are selling CDs by showing up on TV.
The examples were James Taylor and Rod Stewart,
who made a few appearances on talk shows, and
had commercials running, which helped to sell
their new releases.
A great quote from the article: Kids think music is
for downloading, while adults would rather go to
the store and buy the disc.
This may have already been covered, and if so I
apologize. I still have 1200 emails in the hopper
to read...
