eeee, and so CUUUUTE!!!! EEEEEEEEE! somebody alert
dan savage...the bass player looks exactly like ashton
kutcher!
14-year old moment aside, the official website is:
http://rooney-band.com/
and strangely, i went in to make sure the link was
valid, listened to one of the songs they have posted,
got out to write this note, and then couldn't get back
into it...the site is being flooded by girlies just
home from high school no doubt, but that's not to say
these lads aren't a talented lot. If you liked those
breezy boy moments of copperpot and
what-used-to-be-Evelyn Forever, you'd probably dig
Rooney (yes, named after the principal at Ferris
Bueller's high school) - the song i managed to hear
before i got cut off was If It Were Up To Me (or some
such) and was also quite "buddy holly" era weezer-y,
but i do distinctly recall that the breezier and more
boyish, the better the songs were live. SO ... put
that in your trapper keeper and, ah, smoke it.
