<< "Why Does A Pretty Girl Sing Those Sad Songs" was originally on Wood's
Mustard LP, from 1975. Definitely one of Wood's best Brian Wilson
pastiches, and it certainly inspired the chorus of Wondermints' "Chris Craft
#10".
Mustard is a pretty uneven album IMHO, but does contain some of Wood's best
tunes, including "Any Old Time Will Do" and "Look Thru' The Eyes Of A Fool".
Definitely recommended for these and "Why Does A Pretty Girl Sing Those Sad
Songs". The CD was recently reissued on Edsel, and it includes some pretty
cool bonus tracks. >>
I LOVE Roy's lp Mustard! I personally think it is a masterpiece and I
brought the cd with me to have Roy sign it last year at The Village
Underground in NYC where he did
3 nights in a row with his big band of lovely lady horn players! What a show
and WHAT A GUY!?
