Hi! I know that many of you on this list are quite musically "connected,"
and I'm hoping someone out there might be able to help...
I was out at a show tonight and I ran into Mike Gent, of the
Gentlemen/Candy Butchers/Figgs. He happened to mention that he'd like
to get the Figgs into the SXSW music festival this year. Apparently they
were invited to play last year but couldn't play due to scheduling
conflicts, and would like to try again this year.
I'm sure Mike's trying the usual routes to get on the roster, but he
seemed to think it might be helpful to find someone with a connection in
Austin to help him out. He gave me an email address and I told him I'd ask
around.
So... if anyone out there knows folks who are affiliated with the SXSW
festival and would like to help me help Mike, email me off-list.
