Amen brother Eb! At one of the ChiPO shows last year a fellow auditeer
commented that people on the list tend have a missionary view of power
pop, where the mission is to spread the word of power pop at all costs.
Amen, I know I do that. My power pop buds and I will put on some robes and sandals on a Saturday night and head out to the airport. We usually will prey on some lost looking soul, maybe someone forlorn looking, probably humming a Gordon Lightfoot song or maybe singing a John Denver tune. Then we pounce! Within a 3-4 hours most of them will break and we've got the conversion. Miller Time! When we do fail we simply kill them for the greater good.
