I'm listening to it right now... oh my GOD. Velocity Girl,
back together again. One of the few musical bright spots of
the 90s for me. To this day, my crush on Sarah Shannon still
holds sway over me... While "Copacetic" is indeed the one
everyone seems to tout, I happen to love their last disc,
"Gilded Stars And Zealous Hearts", the best. Lots of power,
lots of emotion, lots of excellent vocal work. Did I mention
that I worship Sarah Shannon? I did? Oh, sorry.
This track sounds very "D.I.Y.", much more rough around
the edges than their later work. But very upbeat, very
jangly (with some buzz), and some light harmonies in the
background. Very recognizable VG sound.
A new Velocity Girl disc would be a dream come true. Let's
all cross our fingers and hope...
