As a participant in both Audities and The COF's list
I wanted to clarify some misconceptions
COf is put together by both Greg Dwinnell of Eggbert Records along with Pat
Pierson of Yeah Yeah Yeah magazine
The Lists are compiled
and in the past were mailed to the COF's and or passed out at local pop shows
and then eventually-I use that term loosly-printed in the up n coming issue
of Yeah3
Due to my bud Greg's current health challenges
the task of assimilating, distributing and collecting the e mail or snail
mail responses, combined with the intention of a real deadline. far fewer
participants appeared in this year's list
it abso friggin lutely not meant to be exclusionary It's a far more open
list then implied by past posts from this list
sometimes life happens
Even I could have emailed far more list requests. but alas...
In complete contrast to John B's opinion
I find both lists to be a good balance and representation of the diverse and
eclectic
as well as popular tastes in
dare I say pop or pop like music
With a good part of the media seemingly in bed with our Government of
Terror, I find the Eb
vs. audites to be a well known drag.
I'd be far more into hearing what new music Ebs into
as opposed to reading who's tastes in lists are far
superior
or who's hat and head belong in which section of Amoeba
