Clear Channel Says 2,500 Artists Have Joined Site
Clear Channel Worldwide reports that more than 2,500 musical acts and up and
coming artists have registered at the company’s NEW Music Network website,
and many more are expected to sign up as 500+ Clear Channel radio stations
promote the site.
This site at http://www.clearchannelnewmusicnetwork.com allows aspiring
musical talent to reach the public and the music business with their music
via an online service provided free of charge for musicians and consumers.
"We rolled the New Music Network out initially over seven markets and in the
first 30 days, hundreds of bands posted their materials on the website,”
commented Tom Owens, senior vice president of Programming for Clear Channel
Radio. “Over the last few weeks we have expanded the promotion to over 500
stations and the response has been exciting. We believe there is a
tremendous depth of talent and we're excited that this site will expose the
music industry to a variety of new artists.”
