Andrea:

Ever since I installed a computer burner I have used Nero for copying and
front cover art. I like the ease with which I can float background photos
behind the text and manipulate the images all in one program. But I don't
like their full jewel case program with the spines. For years I have been
using self-made templates in Microsoft Word that are measured out properly -
I just save under a new name (they are read-only for my own idiot-proof
protection) and am off to the races - add art and text, print, and cut along
the border. Score the spine edges with a butter knife and you can fold
without an abrasive cut. If you have Word I'd be happy to send them along

There are also a lot of freeware programs out there but since I never used
them I'll let someone else pipe in on their quality.

More points for learning the art of the mix - join the next SOTT (Son Of
Tape Tree) group when Bill Mastro sends out the invite (probably before
Summer as SOTT 16 is in full swing now). Many Auditeers among the members.
And since he's too modest to mention it himself, over in Fufkin.Com our own
Mike Bennett has a column where he has featured a mix tape of the month and
a discussion of the art.
